Cornelius Corps Covenant Members are local churches that are in ministry with The Cornelius Corps in the following ways:
bulletAdopt The Cornelius Corps Covenant: This covenant emphasizes commitment to preparation for ministry, commitment to a particular form of ministry, and commitment to integrate ministry experience into the growth of participants as disciples of Jesus Christ.
bulletCommit financial resources to the ministry of The Cornelius Corps: Covenant member churches make an annual commitment of at least $5,000 to The Cornelius Corps.
bulletThe Cornelius Corps commits to serving as an ongoing resource and consultant in helping the local church to fulfill The Cornelius Corps Covenant. This includes organizing trips to introduce people to the inner city, offering classes and seminars, which equip people for ministry in the inner city, and assisting participants to make connections with specific ministry settings. The Cornelius Corps also commits to being available at least once a year for preaching and/or participating in the worship service of the local church.
bulletThe significant level of time and commitment required for this relationship necessitates that The Cornelius Corps limit the number of Covenant members to no more than ten. It is possible for more than one local church in proximity to each other to cooperate together to participate as one Covenant member in the ministry.
